Cookie Policy
NiamonX LTD
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy (the "Policy") explains how NiamonX LTD ("NiamonX", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies in connection with our international OSINT and cybersecurity platform (the "Service").
We aim to minimise the use of trackers on the Service and to rely only on mechanisms that are necessary for functionality, security and the proper operation of our tools.
By using the Service, you agree to the use of cookies in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree with our use of cookies, you should adjust your browser settings or stop using the Service.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to ensure the stable operation of the platform, security, authentication, language preferences, functional tools, maps and similar features.
We do NOT use marketing or advertising cookies, except for those that may be technically required as part of certain external APIs (for example, Google Maps or Google Programmable Search Engine).
3. Categories of cookies we use
3.1. Strictly necessary cookies (Essential Cookies)
We use, in particular:
We do not control the exact content of cookies set by Cloudflare but we use them only for security and performance purposes.
3.2. Functional cookies
Functional cookies are used to support certain tools and embedded APIs. They are not used for targeted advertising, but they may be technically required for the proper display or operation of third‑party components.
3.3. Cookies for mapping services
Our platform uses several mapping libraries and services to display interactive maps:
4. Analytical and marketing cookies
We do NOT use analytical, marketing or advertising cookies. In particular, we do not use:
- ❌ Google Analytics
- ❌ Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel)
- ❌ Microsoft/Bing tracking
- ❌ Hotjar or similar behaviour analytics tools
- ❌ Yandex Metrica
- ❌ User‑level tracking IDs for marketing or behavioural profiling
Our policy is to minimise the presence of any trackers on the platform and to avoid unnecessary user profiling wherever possible.
5. Local storage and similar technologies
In addition to cookies, we may use browser‑based storage technologies such as LocalStorage for strictly functional purposes, for example:
- storing search history on your device;
- saving tool settings and preferences;
- caching the results of recent queries to improve user experience.
Important:
The content of your OSINT query history is NEVER sent to or stored on NiamonX servers. It is stored exclusively locally in your browser or on your device, under your own control.
You can clear this data at any time via your browser settings (e.g. clearing local storage or site data).
6. Third‑party providers
Certain cookies may be set directly by third‑party providers integrated into our platform. These include, in particular:
| Provider | Purpose | Type of data / cookies |
|---|---|---|
| Google Programmable Search Engine | Rendering search results | Functional cookies (e.g. NID, 1P_JAR, CONSENT) |
| Google Maps | Display of maps and map layers | Functional cookies (e.g. SID, APISID, HSID, SAPISID, SSID, NID) |
| Leaflet.js | Interactive maps (JS library) | Typically no cookies; technical calls to tile providers |
| Esri / ArcGIS | Map tiles, geospatial services | Technical/functional cookies for tiles, geolocation, performance |
| Cloudflare | Security and anti‑bot protection | Strictly necessary security cookies (e.g. cf_clearance, __cf_bm) |
We do NOT sell, trade, or otherwise commercialise cookie data. Any data accessed by third‑party providers via cookies is limited to what is necessary for technical integration and operation of their components.
7. How to control or disable cookies
You can control and/or delete cookies as you wish by using browser settings. You can:
- delete existing cookies from your device;
- block all cookies or certain types of cookies;
- configure notifications when a website attempts to store cookies.
However, please be aware that if you disable or block strictly necessary cookies (such as PHPSESSID or Cloudflare security cookies), the platform may not function correctly. This may include, for example:
- inability to log in or maintain a session;
- malfunctioning or limited operation of certain tools;
- failure of maps to load or display;
- inability to perform searches in tools that rely on Google Programmable Search Engine or similar components.
If you block functional cookies from third‑party providers (e.g. Google, Esri), certain embedded features (maps, search widgets) may be degraded or unavailable.
8. Cookie retention periods
Retention periods may vary depending on the specific cookie and its provider. In general:
Third‑party providers (such as Google or Esri) define their own exact retention periods; for more details please see their respective privacy or cookie policies.
9. Updates to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example to reflect:
- changes in the technologies we use;
- new or modified integrations with third‑party providers;
- changes in applicable laws or regulatory guidance.
The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Policy was most recently revised. Any changes become effective when we publish the updated Policy.
